It is up to each of us to do all we can to assure our customers, by our deeds and actions as well as words, that they and their homes are in trusted hands when they call Clark Plumbing.
To achieve this, it is imperative that all of our communications be explicitly clear with never a hint of a promise which we are unable or do not intend to fulfill. Frequently, loose unguarded conversation can be interpreted as a misrepresentation, which is intolerable.
In the case of service, there can be no doubt about our communication. Certainly all needed parts and items which might effect the reliability, safety or comfort of a customer's home should be sold. If a customer declines, then the recommendations must be recorded on the repair order with a notation to that effect. Because there can be no compromise in this area, any sale or attempted sale of an unneeded part or service will necessarily result in the dismissal of all involved individuals.
Similarly all service technicians must possess a deep dedication to perform their services to the maximum possible degree of perfection. Substandard workmanship can cause:
1. Injury or death
2. Inconvenience and annoyance
3. Loss of goodwill
4. Loss of service and parts business
5. Loss of repeat business
6. Job insecurity for all
Service Technicians and our supervisory personnel are requested to look upon their workmanship and inspections in the identical manner that they would want an aircraft technician to service the aircraft in which they, our personnel, and their families are about to fly.
It is also important that you fully understand that you as an individual can very well be made a defendant in a law suit for whatever misdeeds a customer may assume or feel you are guilty of.
A truly appreciative attitude toward our customers for their valued business is an absolute necessity. Fairness and honesty at all times will instill the desire for the customer to call again and again.
All of the foregoing is a reaffirmation of what has been, is and ever should be the absolute policies and principles of your company. We simply cannot place too mush emphasis upon the importance of this and the need for your complete understanding, total dedication, and cooperation.
